Went yesterday for brunch. Beautiful and somewhat secluded spot. Loved it! Everything was wonderful, though I did notice the bowl they served was chipped. It didn’t bother me too much, but it’s something they should probably replace. Would I return? Absolutely!

Went to Small Batch for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Looove the atmosphere of the place and the staff were all generally welcoming. We got the build your own board and 2 coffee. I think the concept of being able to “build” your own dish is interesting! I love all the options and like how it’s all in small servings so you can try out different dishes. The fried feta is good please try that if you love cheese!! That was a standout for me but overall the other dishes are really nice too!

Small Batch Cafe gives off a bali vibe with its rustic design and lush green surroundings. It's generally cool and breezy, but it can be warm on very hot afternoon. What caught my eye was their Build-Your-Own-Board menu, where you can customise your own brunch from a selection of bakery items, eggs, diary, fruits and greens, proteins and treats. It's perfect for someone like me who likes variety, and it's great for sharing. The items are served in small but reasonable portions and presented on a wooden board. Totally insta-worthy. Disappointingly, a few items on the menu weren’t available such as the chesse and scallion scone and burrata. Taste wise, it wasn't anything mind-blowing but it's hearty and suited to one's own taste buds. Some of our favourites were the chicken sausage that had some heaty spice in it, the creamy scrambled eggs, and the buttery sauteed mushrooms. The absolute miss was the croissant that wasn't fluffy and crisp. We added on a side of Tater Tots that were crispy and delicious with a side dip of garlic aioli. The Lychee Lemon Cooler was a refreshing and pretty drink made with blue pea tea as its base. It was vibrant, sweet, and tangy. No reservations are allowed on a weekend. It was about 30-40 minutes wait so do get there early to beat the brunch/lunch crowd. Service overall was fuss-free and attentive.

Small Batch is a family-friendly brunch spot at Singapore’s Botanic Gardens, focusing on customizable meals where you can “Build Your Own Board” with items like poached eggs, mushrooms, fruit, and dairy. This setup allows for mix-and-match options that are ideal for both adults and kids. The poached eggs are silky and perfectly runny, complementing the garlicky mushrooms that add a savory touch. The fruit plate is delightfully arranged and colorful, making it appealing for kids. However, the yogurt bowl for kids, though simple, is satisfactory. The drinks are refreshing, especially the fruit-based options that are well-suited for a hot day at the gardens. This cafe’s natural setting and tailored boards make it a relaxed spot to enjoy a meal surrounded by greenery.

Managed to get a reservation on a Friday afternoon, wasn’t crowded and we got seated immediately. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, helped us move tables. Food was great! Flavours were all on point. Was not a fan of their fruit drinks, tasted a little too artificial so I would skip out on them and opt for the coffee next time. Also got their gelato, for $5 not much I can complain about. The flavour was great but the texture was odd. Creamy in some spots but icy in others. Would definitely visit again though, their food and service were thoroughly amazing
