overall great dining in terms of food quality and service. we went on a sat night for dinner was almost full house. and was so rowdy? ahahah but the staff were quick and apt in replenishing the displayed food 👍🏻 only for me personally, i don’t like the rush and the “kiasu-ness”. and didn’t really take ALOT at one go (unlike most of them there, the laksa bowl was overloaded?… like relaaax guys)… and unfortunately missed out on trying some dishes. other than that the seafood on ice was fresh and delightful! also the nian gao (lucky i took 2 pieces to try at first), by 9pm it’s GONE 🥲 perhaps next time i should visit on a weekday to avoid the ravening crowd 😮💨

The food was so good that we went here every day for brekkie. Hot menu changed daily and there was also a chef to custom make egg dishes to your specifications. Wonderful mix of Asian (Muslim) and Euro dishes. Fruit was wonderfully ripe and tasty. Restaurant was super busy on Saturday morning but weekdays were easy.

One of the best buffets in Singapore - with international fare and local delicacies. The quality has improved since we last came. The oxtail was tender; the chilli crab was spicy and meaty; the seafood and sashimi were fresh. Great variety of local specialities - nonya kueh, laksa, satay and rojak. I was surprised at how good the Indonesian cuisine was. Of course, I ended my meal with the durian pengat, a must-try at the Asian Market Cafe. Highly recommended buffet for Singaporeans and foreigners alike.

Came here for a staff lunch and enjoyed the lunch buffet. The Asian Market Cafe really lives up to its name. They have a wide variety of food from local to South-east Asian and even Japan. You’ll be hard pressed to sample every dish on offer but every dish I tried was delicious and tasted authentic. They even have a make-it-yourself rojak and laksa station. One dish that stood out for me was the red curry oxtail stew. The oxtail was flavourful and fall-apart-tender. They also have a wide range of desserts from make-it-yourself chendol to durian pengat to Peranakan kueh to cakes. Do come with an empty stomach so you can sample everything on offer.

The experience was quite a letdown. If you’ve experienced a buffet breakfast next door at the Clove, a comparison can’t really be made. Decor is alright with Asian-Peranakan flair inspired by road names across Singapore. Service was okay. Selection of food was abysmal. Coffee selection is laughable considering the Fairmont is a 5-star rated hotel. Would not recommend.
